Coastal Community Foundation grants to help Lowcountry workers still facing hardship due to government shutdown

CHARLESTON, SC – Thursday, April 19, 2018 – Coastal Community Foundation (CCF), a grantmaking foundation dedicated to serving coastal South Carolina, invites nonprofit organizations to apply for grants through its current funding cycle. The Foundation is accepting applications now for its Northern Lowcountry Regional Grants Program, the Cooper River Bridge Run Fund, and the Realtors Housing Opportunities Fund (RHOF).

Northern Lowcountry Regional Grant
Grants are available annually to non-profit organizations serving all program areas throughout the following Counties: Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester, as well as organizations focused on the Arts in Georgetown County. CCF invites members of the community to attend a Drop-In Q&A Session regarding the Northern Lowcountry Regional Grant Application on Wednesday, April 25th from 4:00-6:00 pm at the CCF Office (635 Rutledge Ave, Suite 201, Downtown Charleston). This session is free and open to the public but is not required to be eligible to apply for funding in the June cycle. Parking is available onsite.
Cooper River Bridge Run Grant
Grants are available annually to programs in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties that promote regular physical activity that will encourage continuous participation in the Cooper River Bridge Run and related activities such as the Bridge Run Kid’s Run. Realtors Housing Opportunity Fund (RHOF)
Grants from RHOF are available to nonprofit organizations focused on the repair or rehabilitation of low-to-moderate income housing, creation of new affordable housing, and education to encourage responsible homeownership in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties. Please direct additional questions about this program to Kaela Hammond, Program Associate and Compliance Manager at [email protected].
The deadline for submissions is Friday, June 1, 2018. To apply, nonprofits must create a login to Coastal Community Foundation’s grant application portal. It may take up to 48 hours for login requests to be approved. Please direct questions about programs to the contacts assigned above.
