Charleston, SC: February 13, 2015 – Coastal Community Foundation, a grantmaking institution dedicated to serving coastal South Carolina, today announced it is accepting applications for the N.E.W. Fund’s 2015 grant cycle. The N.E.W., or Neighborhoods Energized to Win!, Fund is a competitive program providing grants, leadership development and technical assistance to low and moderate-income neighborhoods in Charleston and Colleton Counties. Coastal Community Foundation encourages applications from both grassroots and 501 (c)(3) non-profit neighborhood organizations. Priority will be given to organizations focused on the Fund’s desired outcomes of strong and healthy families, safe and supportive neighborhoods, residential pride, active community participation and a belief in residents’ power to shape their communities. Past projects include after-school programs, neighborhood beautification initiatives and various community center plans.
