Coastal Community Foundation Releases 2016-2017 Application for Open Grants

Grants of up to $10,000 are available annually to Berkeley, Charleston & Dorchester County nonprofits and Georgetown County arts organizations

CHARLESTON, S.C.March 16, 2016 – Coastal Community Foundation is now accepting Open Grants applications for requests of up to $10,000 from organizations that enhance the arts, education, the environment, health, human needs and/or community development. Online applications are available at www.coastalcommunityfoundation.org/grants/ and must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 6th.

The Open Grants Program was established in 1985 to improve quality of life by supporting the network of nonprofits that serve the Lowcountry community. The program awarded $313,673 to 41 nonprofits in 2015, and has awarded $4.6 million since its inception.

To apply, nonprofits must create a login to Coastal Community Foundation’s grant application portal. It may take up to 48 hours for login requests to be approved. Please direct additional questions about Open Grants to Program Officer Caroline Mullis at caroline@coastalcommunityfoundation.org.
