An announcement about Lowcountry Giving Day

Dear Lowcountry Nonprofits,
Over the last three years Lowcountry Giving Day has been an opportunity for the Foundation to support local nonprofits in building their capacity by promoting online giving and a single day dedicated to philanthropy.
Overall we believe the day and the millions of dollars it has raised for the nonprofit community has been a success. That said, after much discussion, we have decided not to host Lowcountry Giving Day in 2017. We know this news will be disappointing to many.
We are proud of the good work we have all accomplished through Lowcountry Giving Day, but in our research and reflection this summer, we have also realized that managing this event is beyond our current operational and mission capacity.
Thank you for all you do to support our community. Please reach out to us at givingday@coastalcommunityfoundation.org or (843) 723-3635 with any questions regarding our decision.
