Coastal Community Foundation Welcomes Darrin Goss, Sr. as President & CEO

CHARLESTON, SCFebruary 15, 2016 – Today Darrin Goss, Sr. joins Coastal Community Foundation as President & CEO. After almost three years of strategic leadership as CEO of Capital Area United Way in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Darrin returns to his childhood home of Charleston to start his first 120 days as President & CEO on a Listening Tour of the Lowcountry.

As a native of James Island, Goss will meet with different constituents of Coastal Community Foundation on this Listening Tour to identify local issues that matter to donors, nonprofits and other community partners.
Having successfully completed a term as president of Capital Area United Way, Goss comes to the table with an affinity for helping people. His experience as Vice President of Community Impact for the United Way of Greenville, as well as direction of multicultural affairs at his alma mater – Wofford College, speak to his community involvement in the state of South Carolina. Goss joins the Foundation after last year’s national search for a new President & CEO.
Investment in constituents’ needs paired with Goss’ experience in the Southern nonprofit sector make for a promising start to this man’s role as CEO with Coastal Community Foundation.
