Grants of up to $10,000 available to nonprofits serving Berkeley County
CHARLESTON, S.C. – November 12, 2015 – The Giving Back to Berkeley County Fund of Coastal Community Foundation is now accepting requests for funding of up to $10,000 from Berkeley County nonprofits addressing any community need. Online applications are available at https://coastalcommunityfoundation.org/grants/ and must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8th.
The Giving Back to Berkeley County Fund was established in 2008 as an endowed fund to improve the quality of life in Berkeley County by supporting a network of local nonprofits. A grants committee of local community members, selected annually, work together to read applications, conduct site visits and recommend grants from the fund. Started by an anonymous donor, the fund has distributed $279,000 since its founding.
To apply, nonprofits must create a login to Coastal Community Foundation’s grant application portal. It may take up to 48 hours for login requests to be approved.
