Blackbaud Fund

Blackbaud, with its world headquarters based on Daniel Island, established the Blackbaud Fund at Coastal Community Foundation to support local organizations that serve youth with special needs or that provide educational opportunities for underserved, disadvantaged, and/or minority children.

Average award: $5,000
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. Jan. 15, or next business day if that date falls on a weekend.

Criteria for eligibility:

  • Nonprofit serving Berkeley, Charleston and/or Dorchester Counties; registered 501(c)(3), or has secured the sponsorship of a registered 501(c)(3); not a political or lobbying organization; does not discriminate; did not receive $5,000 or more during the previous Blackbaud Fund grant cycle.

Application process and schedule

  • Interested applicants will apply through our online portal. Applications are due on Jan. 15. Finalist organizations will be contacted in early February and asked to submit additional information. Select groups may receive a site visit and/or follow questions, with final decisions announced in mid-April.
