Open Grants

Nonprofits serving Berkeley, Charleston and/or Dorchester counties as well as Georgetown County arts nonprofits. If the proposal addresses one of the following areas, applicants can apply for up to $15,000: Arts, Hospice Care, Alzheimer’s and related disorders. For all other focus areas, applicants may apply for up to $10,000. Applications for general operating support are allowed and encouraged.

Average award: $7,500
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. June 1 or the next business day if the date falls on a weekend.

  • Nonprofits serving Berkeley, Charleston and/or Dorchester counties as well as Georgetown County arts nonprofits are eligible to apply.

Application process and schedule

  • Interested applicants will apply through the Northern Lowcountry Regional Cycle Application on our online portal. A committee comprised of community members will consider applications and make recommendations. Select groups may receive a site visit and/or follow questions, with final decisions announced in October.
