Disaster Response Fund Accepting Applications

Grants up to $10,000 for nonprofits serving Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Georgetown, Horry Counties

CHARLESTON, S.C. November 18, 2015 – Coastal Community Foundation, a grantmaking institution serving coastal South Carolina, is now accepting applications for the Disaster Response Fund.

501(c)3 nonprofits serving people in parts of the Foundation’s service area affected by the October flooding – Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Georgetown and Horry Counties – are eligible to apply for funding of up to $10,000 to support recovery efforts.

The deadline to apply is January 1st, 2016. The application deadline may be extended into 2016 depending on the volume of applications and available funding.

Applications are available to download at www.coastalcommunityfoundation.org/grants/list-of-grants/. After receiving applications, a volunteer committee will review applications and schedule site visits as needed.
