The Cooper River Bridge Run will be taking this year to revamp and reorganize their grants fund program, and will not be conducting their typical grantmaking program in 2021.  Please check back in early 2022 for details on how the program will be conducted moving forward.  Please note that the Kids Run will now have free registration, so the organization encourages participation through that avenue for anyone interested. Average award: Up to $1,500, with an average amount of about $900.

Criteria for eligibility

  • Applications are accepted from publicly-supported 501(c)(3) organizations, governmental entities, schools, and recognized houses of worship located in and serving residents of Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties.

Application process and schedule

  • Not accepting applications in 2021. Interested applicants will apply through our online portal, with applications due on June 1st, or the next business day. A committee comprised of community members will consider the applications and make recommendations, and final decisions will be announced in late August.
