Dorchester County Fund

Dorchester County Fund was established in 2010 to distribute grants to improve the quality of life in the county. Applications are accepted from organizations of all fields-of-interest that serve residents of Dorchester County. Applications for general operating support are allowed and encouraged.

Average award: up to $5,000
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. June 1, or the next business day if the date falls on a weekend.

Criteria for eligibility

  • Nonprofits serving Dorchester County are eligible to apply.

Application process and schedule

  • Interested applicants will apply through the Northern Lowcountry Regional Cycle Application on our online portal. A committee comprised of community members will consider applications and make recommendations. Select groups may receive a site visit and/or follow questions, with final decisions announced in October.
