Hebrew Orphan Society N. Edgar Miles, M.D. Scholarship
Established by Doctor Miles before his passing in 1995, this fund awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Charleston, Berkeley or Dorchester counties with a demonstrated financial need. Eligible applicants must be in the top 25% of his/her high school class, demonstrate and aptitude for higher education, and have earned a GPA of a 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Multiple awards will be made. Awards are renewable if certain criteria are met.

Application process and schedule

Applications can be completed online beginning mid-January. Each applicant will only complete one application and the online system will automatically pair you with scholarships for which you are eligible. The deadline for all applications to be submitted, including letters of recommendation, is mid-March. All applicants will be contacted regarding their application status by early July.
