Morris D. Finkelstein Scholarship
Established by family, friends, and former students in 1994 in memory of the highly-respected coach at the High School of Charleston, this fund provides a renewable scholarship for up to four years to help a deserving athlete receive a college degree. Open to any student athlete from Berkeley, Charleston, or Dorchester counties to go to any college in the State of South Carolina. One renewable award (Available if present winner does not renew).
Average award: $500

Applicants must be student athletes from Berkeley, Charleston, or Dorchester counties planning to attend college in the state of South Carolina
Application process and schedule

Applications can be completed online beginning mid-January. Each applicant will only complete one application and the online system will automatically pair you with scholarships for which you are eligible. The deadline for all applications to be submitted, including letters of recommendation, is mid-March. All applicants will be contacted regarding their application status by early July. Specific deadlines can be found on our scholarship portal each year, which can be accessed through the “Apply” button on our Scholarships for Current High School Seniors page.
